Racing is my life, nothing more I would want to do in my life but drive a car around a track 100s of times at speeds that most will never reach. I am a two time champion at the Richmond Karting Speedway (formerly the Richmond Raceway) in Richmond, ME, and that track is pretty much what I've called my home, many friends there, all mean alot to me. I'm pretty sure that you know the real me once you see me at a racetrack, I'm very laid back at the race track and talk to just about everyone and play pranks more often than not. I'm not the Evan I am at school that I am at the track. I feel like I'm a very good driver myself, I believe in my ability and feel like I can go far. I've been known to be very cocky at times, but c'mon, when someone asks you if your gonna win you gotta say yea I am. But I'm a pretty good guy to be around and am not really the cocky guy most people see me as. I started driving karts when I was around 8 out in my backyard, and when I turned 10 I started running at Maine Indoor Karting, quickly adapting to karts. In 2004 I started running at the Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in their SMKI kart racing division, I started 7 races and only got one top 5. In '05 helped my dad take a big part of reopening the Richmond Raceway, and I picked up my first 10 wins racing against former kart champ Ben Ashline. Ben ended up getting the title though as I had to settle for second and rookie of the year. I have to thank Ben for being a great mentor and friend to me over the years, he taught me just about everything I know, and I think I taught him a thing or two in that year we got to race against each other, it's still cool hearing people tell me they still talk about me and Ben racing in '05 at their dinner table, and how no matter what happened on the track we were very respectable towards each other off the track. In 2006 my dad and I captured a series high 13 wins in the BC Animal divison and a division high 17 wins in the Jr. Animal, running against a full field of karts each week. Got the 2 championships and I was Most Popular Driver. In 2007, we had a bit of a struggle, failing to be competitive early on, but we ended on a high note, winning our first race in the last race of the season in dominating "Nitrous Beaulieu" style. 2nd place in the NE Pavement Series points and started and finished my first Legends Car race at Wiscasset Speedway. In 2008 we accomplished alot, we got our first heat victory at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in the Legends National Qualifier, and went on to be the highest finishing Semi-Pro in the race. We also finished 7th in the NELCAR points, while missing the races at Oxford Plains Speedway due to age restrictions. We got a best finish of 4th at Unity Raceway and had many strong runs, and led alot of laps but had trouble sealing the deal, in 2009 we will have to work on that. In the kart races we ran, we won 4 of 5 times at Oxford Plains, and in the races he ran at Richmond Karting Speedway, we won one Animal and three Sr. Sportsman races, including the year ending Pave-Tek 600. I'd like to thank my great sponsors, Hancock Lumber, Beaulieu Construction, COPP Excavating, Fast Track Racing Products and Nitrous Designs for a great 2008.
